   - Tires will be BSR World GT Spec Tires
(we can work on prepayment for tires - email)

Speed Control Rules:
Open speed controls in all classes but:

  - Touring Amateur 17.5 (road)
  - Touring Stock 17.5 (road)
  - 1/12th 17.5 GTP 17.5 (road)
We are using the standard Roar rules/list for the limited speedo timing rule classes.  These speed controls and rules are listed here.  You can still adjust timing in the motor for the limited speedo timing classes.

Spec Brushless Motor Rules:
Motors in the controlled classes (13.5, 17.5, etc) can not be 'modified' externally or internally from factory.  Bearing changes, rotor replacement, etc is legal.  Motor timing adjustments are legal (as limited by manufacture design).  By no modification, we mean physical and deliberate changes to the motor from what it was designed/sold for (no timing/can modifications, wire length altercations, solder tampering, stack shortening, etc.).  No oversized modified rotors allowed in spec classes (must remain stock size/type).  Tuning rotors are legal if on the Roar approved list for that specific motor (tuning rotors that are still spec sizes and are not modified style/size rotors).  We will have inductance/resistance minimums and have set ranges for motor winds/brands.  Motors must be available for sale before race.
 - No active cooling / freeze spraying motors
 - Heat sinks / one fan for motor are legal
 - No hybrids / mixing of brands or parts
 - 5 +/- degrees of trackside ambient to race
To see a list of Roar spec motors click here
Modified road classes are using Roar/Ifmar motor rules.  7.5 modified oval motors follow same basic  guidelines as Roar modified  motor rules and will have minimums for inductance/resistance.

LiPo Battery Rules:
LiPo users are responsible for their actions. It is recommended to follow all safety warnings (including the use of a LiPo sack).  LiPo's must be available for sale before race and Roar approved (there are no more approval dates until after the 'birds so the current list on Roar's site is what will be legal).
 - 2S Max Voltage to race:  8.44
 - 1S Max Voltage to race:  4.22
 - 5 +/- degrees of trackside ambient to race
To see a list of Roar legal LiPos click here
Just having a Roar approved sticker doesn't make a pack legal - must be on the list of approved batteries.

Tire Traction Rules:
We will have an Odorless tire traction rule.
We are allowing a few types this year:
- Trinity Sticky Fingers
- Jack the Gripper
- Muddslide
- SXT

*rules may be added/changed if needed.
*rule #1 is to have fun racing r/c cars!!!

2011 Snowbird Champion Rings:
The Individual Snowbird CUP Champion in Road and in Oval will win a Snowbird custom one-of-a-kind ring!  These were given in 2010 and unique to the Snowbirds only!

Special Thanks:
We thank ROAR and TOUR for their support and allowing us to note them in our rules.  Thunder Racing supports both organizations.
